ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Training
Globally millions of deaths a year continue to be reported as a result of occupational accidents or work-related diseases, in addition non-fatal injuries and illnesses. Significantly many organizations in Kenya have suffered from various incidences this could not have been so if employees had valuable knowledge and skills occupational health and safety. This training utilizes practical approaches to promote retention of the learnt knowledge and skills. This is reinforced through use of appropriate training resources and methodology.
The training is designed in accordance with The Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 (OSHA) and ISO 45001. This is a skill based training that takes a ration of theory to practical of 3:7. These include classroom presentations, exercises, discussions, videos and practical.
Objectives
ISO 45001 enables organizations to put in place an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. This will help them manage their OH&S risks and improve their OH&S performance by developing and Implementing effective policies and objectives. The objective of this training therefore, is to:
a. Give participants skills, knowledge and expertise that that provides a framework to increase safety.
b. Reduce workplace risks.
c. Enhance health and well-being at work.
d. Enable an organization to proactively improve its OH&S performance.
Training Outcome
Upon completion of this course the following will be the learning outcome:
a. Realize reduction in workplace incidents.
b. Reduce the workplace related risks thereby realizing reduced cost of insurance premiums.
c. Creation of a health and safety culture, whereby employees are encouraged to take an active role in their own OH&S.
d. Reinforced leadership commitment to proactively improve OH&S performance.
e. Ability to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
f. Improved staff morale.
Training Duration
This training will be conducted in three 3-5 days of 8 periods per day of 45 minutes each.
