The increase in the complexity, frequency and magnitude of disasters resulting from terrorism has continued to challenge civil populous in terms of the adequacy and efficiency in response procedures. Lives, property and business operations have been greatly affected by occurrence of such disasters. The face of terrorism is shifting towards active shooter based on global statistics however use of improvised explosive devices is still high across the world.

Our Counterterrorism awareness training package is designed based on the global terrorism trend and patterns aimed at imparting skills to employees and general public on how to recognize, report and take action in the event of an attack. This awareness training focuses on raising awareness of potential terrorist threats and criminal activities, supporting a security culture and enhancing emergency response to protect lives (staff, customers and families), property and businesses operation. The training uses a combination of interactivity, practical exercise, quizzes and tests to engage the participants and reinforce key skills in counterterrorism.

Objectives of counterterrorism awareness:
At the end of this training participants shall be equipped with essential skills to enable them recognize when someone may be becoming or supporting terrorism. This course further shall seek to increase security awareness of various facets of terrorism and criminal activity that could occur at any facility.

Delegates shall further acquire skills that will enable them to assess potentially suspicious behaviors and will be able to conduct surveillance at the facility while developing good security practices both in their organizations as well as out of work place especially during emergencies.

Acquired skills shall enable delegates to timely detect and report hostile reconnaissance, potential suicide bomber or active shooter and apply practical skills during terrorist attack. Delegates will be equipped with skills that will enable them to detect hostile drone and how to counter the threat.

Course duration: This awareness training will be covered within five (5) days.

Training prerequisite: There is no specific prerequisite however participants must have basic skill in English both written and oral.
